The Los Angeles Veterans Collaborative consists of multiple working groups. Members of the collaborative meet monthly with others in these individual groups to work on items relevant to local veterans and military families in Los Angeles. Educates and shares best practices for working with veterans and military families in their respective communities.
Impacts policy related to the concerns and needs of military-affiliated children and their families.
Develops best practices that can drive a better educational experience for veterans in Los Angeles.
Works to solve systemic housing issues issues, pass legislation and rally providers toward more coordination.
Identifies laws affecting veterans and service delivery, builds capacity with legal professionals to work with veteran clients, and organizes to solve large-scale legal barriers facing veterans.
Identifies and develops strategies to ensure the needs of female veterans are understood and met within the community.
