Working Groups
The Los Angeles Veterans Collaborative consists of multiple working groups. Members of the collaborative meet monthly with others in these individual groups to work on items relevant to local veterans and military families in Los Angeles. Behavioral Health
Identifies the unique needs and challenges veterans have for accessing behavioral healthcare, as well as practices for veteran treatment.
Career Advancement
Educates employers, develops best practices for service providers, and works to identify veterans in need of meaningful employment.
Faith
Educates and shares best practices for working with veterans and military families in their respective communities.
Families & Children
Impacts policy related to the concerns and needs of military-affiliated children and their families.
Higher Education
Develops best practices that can drive a better educational experience for veterans in Los Angeles.
Housing & Homelessness
Works to solve systemic housing issues, pass legislation and rally providers toward more coordination.
Legal & Re-Entry
Identifies laws affecting veterans and service delivery, builds capacity with legal professionals to work with veteran clients, and organizes to solve large-scale legal barriers facing veterans.
Women Veterans
Identifies and develops strategies to ensure the needs of female veterans are understood and met within the community.
